Feeders for flakes and fibers

Specific solutions for complex and difficult-to-handle materials.

Specific solutions for complex and difficult-to-handle materials.

Dosing flakes, fibers, and bulky, uneven materials requires systems designed to ensure continuous, smooth flow without jamming or layering.

Key benefits

CT Systems dosers for flakes and fibers are designed to meet these challenges, ensuring constant and precise feeding, thanks to configurations designed to promote smoothness even in materials that are difficult to compact or with a low specific weight.

Our preferred solution for these materials is the use of single-auger feeders with an open design and a large pitch, which facilitate movement without damaging the material and without creating dead zones. In the case of particularly light and clogged materials, it is possible to integrate internal agitator or vibration systems to facilitate flow.

Why choose our Feeders?

CT Systems flake and fiber feeders are the reliable answer for those who work with complex materials every day and want to achieve precision and continuity without compromise.

A-Flex feeders are suitable for all types of powders, granulates, splinters, flakes and fibres

The A-Flex can be used as a volumetric or gravimetric doser in Combination with a platform scale.
Using a flexible polyurethane (PU) container with massage rollers arranged laterally for the activation of the material flow is no longer necessary the common agitator. Compaction and the formation of bridges of the material above the dosing augers.

  • Dosing of powders, granulates, splinters, flakes and fibres
  • Great consistency of dosing even in the case of bulk materials with low scrolling
  • Volumetric and gravimetric versions available
  • Individually replaceable AS60, AT20 and AT35 interchangeable modules
  • Separate controls of the massage rollers via Voludrive or C2 control unit
  • 48 different options for adjusting the width of the massage rollers
  • Lifting device for expansion modules
  • (In case of module change or cleaning, the superstructure must not be dismantled complete, this allows for much shorter inactivity breaks, especially in the case of superstructures with automatic feeding)
  • Extremely easy operation
    — simple auger change
    — Simple material container change
    — Easy cleaning
    — Easy disassembly

TECHNICAL DATA SHEET

A tailor-made solution for the controlled dosing of glass fibres, carbon fibres and special materials

Vibrating channel metering is the ideal choice for applications that require gentle handling, constant flow control, and the absence of rotating mechanical parts. It is particularly suitable for packing, abrasive, brittle or contaminable materials such as flakes, fibers and technical additives where material care, precision and process cleanliness are essential.

In addition to our standard, each system can be custom-designed according to the characteristics of the material, the required capacities and the customer’s operating conditions. The vibrating channel, combined with hoppers and dedicated structures, allows for regular dosing over a wide range of flow rates, with extreme ease of cleaning and the possibility of washing (IP65).

Key features

  • No moving mechanical parts in the channel → minimal wear and maintenance
  • Manageable flow rates: from 2 kg/h up to over 2000 kg/h
  • Channel and hopper in AISI 304 stainless steel, hopper with the possibility of internal coating as Teflon coating for packaging materials
  • Precise dosing even at low speeds, ideal for micro-components or finishing dosages
  • Customizable according to the requests of each customer

This type of dosing is perfectly suited to continuous or batch production, and lends itself to being integrated into compact stations, pilot lines or industrial plants where flexibility and accuracy make the difference.
