How We Choose Shape and Size
The definitive geometry arises from a joint analysis of:
- Rheology of the material (creep angle, hygroscopicity).
- Plant constraints (spaces, belt/tire connections).
- Environmental conditions (snow loads, wind, seismicity).
- Logistics (road/rail transport, on-site assembly).
Practical example:
*A powder PVC silo (25m³) required:
- 65° taper to avoid bridging.
- Structural reinforcements for seismic areas 3.
- Mirror-finish interior finish for easy unloading.*
Special executions (on request)
- Silos with heating for hygroscopic materials.
- Double wall for thermal control.
- Inerting systems for explosive dusts (ATEX).
